Colin Mochrie

Colin Mochrie is an alumnus of Toronto’s famous Second City, the comedy training ground of the likes of Martin Short, John Candy, Gilda Radner, Mike Myers and Dan Aykroyd.

Colin Mochrie holds the distinction of having simultaneously starred in five series on six North American networks, making him arguably one of the busiest actors working today.

The list includes Whose Line Is It Anyway? (which he played in for nine years in England before it debuted in the U.S.), two seasons withThis Hour Has 22 Minutes (the hit Canadian satirical news show), Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (Canadian addition) George and Martha (the animated series for HBO) and Seven Little Monsters (the animated series for PBS).

Mochrie appeared in the independent films Expecting, Do It For Uncle Manny, Totally Blonde and Jane White Is Sick and Twisted, and in the big-budget action comedy The Tuxedo with Jackie Chan.

In October 2013, Colin was voted the Canadian Comedian of the year at the Canadian Comedy Awards.
