He has one goal when delivering a keynote presentation: To offer a heart-warming, thought-provoking, multi-media presentation that will inspire audiences so they leave with a smile on their face and a reminder to stop and listen to their heart.
In the 1970s Brock found himself depressed and suicidal so he decided to take a bike trip, a decision that would change the course of his life. He shares how this 10,000 mile journey, as one of the first people to ever tour Canada, U.S. & Mexico on a 10 speed bicycle with a 50 lb. pack on his back, ended up being a 12 inch journey from his head to his heart.
From 2000 to 2013, Brock founded and was the Creative Director for the World Kindness Concert. This event attracted World class performers to both celebrate and promote the messages of kindness, compassion, love and peace, and to touch the hearts of people around the world. More than just an evening of music, the event raised funds to help to eliminate violence, bullying, suicide, cruelty and abuse in our society.
In 2000 he decided to take another bike trip to promote Kindness. He called it his Cycling for Kindness tour which took him through 33 States & 7 Provinces – 18,000 Km – for 7 months…all to promote a KINDER world. He spoke to kids in schools along the way and was able to touch the hearts of people of all ages, styles, and colors!
In1996, “KindActs” was created, which developed in 2006 into the Kindness Foundation of Canada, co-founded by Brock. The Foundation offers on-line programs showing ways to be kinder at work, at school, and at home.
In 2009, Brock went on his third bike trip to raise awareness for a kinder world. He called it his Kindness… Cycle it Forward Tour: He pulled a 70 lb. trailer, through the mountains of mid America in the winter for 8 months, speaking at schools and other groups to raise awareness for a kinder world.
Brock is also the Co-Founder of Kindness Rocks in Schools – to prevent bullying and abuse. And the Founder/Producer of One of a KIND Stories, an event that featured speakers who shared their stories of courage.
“Kindness” is Brock’s passion and his purpose. He touches lives, instilling joy and planting seeds that help develop everyone’s own ability to give and act with compassion in their own communities, schools and workplaces.
Brock’s simple, profound message empowers and “reminds” audiences of how their own journey can be more exciting and fun! He weaves magic with reflection, bringing love into the hearts of audiences by shifting moods and perspectives.

- REFLECT. RECHARGE, RECONNECT TO OUR PURPOSE!
Brock’s inspiring keynote excites audiences, who arrive listening with their ears and leave listening with their hearts. In school, we learn to listen with our ears and as the years go by, we gradually stop listening to our hearts. This is why there is low morale, depression, absenteeism and low productivity in the workplace as well as challenges in personal relationships. As a popular teenager Brock listened with his ears and although he looked fine on the outside, on the inside he was depressed and suicidal. A decision to embark on a bicycle trip around North America saved his life. Brock discovered, during his 50,000 KM bicycle trip, that it was really a 12 inch journey from his head back to his heart. Brock shares why taking the time to reflect on the work we do and why we are doing it, Reconnect to the path we have chosen and determine if it still fills us with passion and purpose and Recharge by listening with our heart and not with our ears.
“…i’d rather be seen for who i am and be alone… than be accepted for someone i’m not and be lonely.”“…when i think …i need to belong… i often follow others… when i follow my heart, i feel i belong regardless of others.”
- DIVERSITY FROM THE HEART
After three Epic Bike trips around North America, meeting thousands of people from all different walks of life, Brock discovered the best approach to Diversity in the Workplace and in Life, is from the Heart. No matter the age, style of dress, religious beliefs or color of skin, Brock strives to only see a person’s heart. Many diversity programs are created to celebrate and acknowledge our differences but lack the ability to create a connection. Brock approaches Diversity programs by celebrating not only what makes us each unique and special but more importantly how we are all the same on the inside. When we look beyond what the eye can see and listen to our heart, we only see what connects us as human beings.
“…by being willing to take the risk to be different, we may find that ‘deep down’ we’re all the same…
…by trying to be the same we are often afraid of those who may ‘appear’ different.”
- KINDNESS TAKES HEART WORK
Through heart-warming stories, thought-provoking insights and entertaining anecdotes, from 3 epic bicycle trips ‘around’ North America (50,000 km), Brock’s audiences gain insight into ‘why’ we lose touch with our hearts and ‘how’ we can reconnect with ourselves and others. Discover how to be more excited and inspired to be more giving and involved in creating a happier, healthier, more vibrant and more productive workplace, organization or community.
