- Out of the Closet: Working with LGBTQ+ Individuals in Today’s Workplace
If you read that someone defines themselves as a “pansexual demiboy,” what would this tell you?
Besides lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT), what does it mean when people say they are pansexual, asexual, demi, genderqueer, non-binary, agender, transman, or transwoman? Even members of the LGBTQ community are frequently confused when new sexual orientations, gender orientations, and sexuality labels are adopted.
This keynote will explain what you need to know about LGBTQ diversity and how you can become an ally and see through the lens of those who define themselves differently
- The Addiction Mask
Besides the increase in addiction-related deaths, addictions of all types are profoundly affecting our society.
The impact of addiction ripples into every domain of life, including our homes and at work. Addictions and behavioural excesses always have a cause, often triggered by an underlying mental health disorder. Under the addiction mask is a true horror story that needs to be told and understood.
Dr. Alderson brings audiences into the experience of addictions. He will highlight the warning signs that precede addiction and the symptoms that happen after it has occurred. By knowing and acting upon the signs and symptoms, potential horror stories can become a “feel good” story with a happy conclusion.
